(Shenzhen,18 March 2011) Ascott China wins the 6th China Hotel Starlight Awards as “2010 Best Residence Operator” in China. This is the sixth consecutive year Ascott China has won this award.
Mr. Lee Chee Koon, Managing Director, Ascott North Asia, accepted the awards on behalf of Ascott China and said: “Ascott is honoured to receive this top accolade in China. This win reaffirms our leadership position for our outstanding performance, and more importantly, for the contributions to the country and industry that we are a part of and committed to. We will continue striving to grow our portfolio in China to 12,000 apartment units by 2015 and deliver more properties with international standards to our customers.” Meanwhile, Mr. Lee Chee Koon has won the award of “Top 10 Hoteliers of The Year China” in Character Award Category.
The Award-winners are decided by the consensus of a group of seasoned hotel experts and appraisals of the Advisory Committee of Asia Hotel Forum, with recommendations and nominations from members of the industry and through online voting. China Hotel Starlight Awards is typically accepted as award-conferring authority in the China hotel industry.
Recently, two properties of Ascott China, Ascott Guangzhou and Somerset Garden City Shenzhen have also been voted as “2010 Best Service Residence for Japanese Business Travelers in Pearl River Delta Region” by China - Japan Economic and Cultural Council (Shenzhen) and the Japanese magazine Crossroad.
